Every cookie we set is strictly necessary, so there is nothing on this site you have to agree to. We ask anyway: the banner lets you set your preferences in advance, and every optional category is empty today.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, and to send back on your next visit. It can hold a setting you chose or a token that keeps you signed in. Browsers offer other kinds of storage for the same purposes; where we use those, they are listed here too.
By how long they last
- Session — removed when you close the browser.
- Persistent — kept for a set period, or until you clear them.
By who sets them
- First-party — set by the site you are visiting. Everything in the table below is first-party.
- Third-party — set by another site whose content is embedded in the page. We set none. No advertising network, analytics provider or social network places anything on your device through this site.
By what they are for
| Category | Do we use it? | What that means here |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Yes | Without these the site cannot do what you asked of it: you could not stay signed in, or be served the language you picked. |
| Analytics and performance | No | We run no analytics whatsoever. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager and no measurement pixel anywhere on this site. |
| Functional | Staff console only | One workstation setting is remembered on the internal page our staff use to pair devices with labels. Nothing functional is stored for visitors. |
| Advertising and targeting | No | We do not advertise, profile you, or build audiences. |
| Social media | No | There are no sharing widgets and no embedded social feeds. |
Everything we store
| Name | What it is for | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
Sign-in session | Keeps you signed in after you log in. | Cookie, first-party | Until you sign out, or the session expires. |
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language you chose, so the site opens in it next time. It is written only when you press a language button, and holds nothing but that choice. | Cookie, first-party | Persistent, until you clear it. |
duritrace.link.device-source | Remembers a workstation's scanner settings on the internal device-linking page. Staff only, and it holds no personal data — a three-digit prefix and a search pattern. | Local storage, first-party | Until cleared. |
Content requested from elsewhere
Some pages fetch content from another service. That sets no cookie, but the other service necessarily sees your IP address and browser identification. Our privacy notice covers this in full.
| Service | When |
|---|---|
| OpenFreeMap | On a tracking page that draws a map. |
| LINE | The friend QR code shown in the notification dialog, and signing in with LINE. |
Managing cookies in your browser
You can see, block and clear cookies in your browser's own settings:
Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in.
Consent, and withdrawing it
You are asked before anything optional is stored, and nothing optional loads until you answer — refusing is offered as plainly as accepting, and no box is ticked for you. You can change your mind at any time: “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page reopens the panel, and rejecting everything is one press. Because every optional category is currently empty, accepting and rejecting have the same practical effect today; your choice is recorded so that it still holds on the day that changes.
Changes to this policy
We review this page periodically, and whenever we add anything that stores data on your device. The date above is updated when we do.
